At the moment, it is about 30 degrees F cooler than it felt three days ago. It's apparently what some of the flowers needed to emerge:

The mallows continue to bloom, and the later plantings of zinnias are about to:
Looks like I can expect more Christmas peppers, too. I put some on last night's rice, and the BYM's verdict was that they were very hot and should be used sparingly.
The tenaciousness of the lemon cucumber tendrils continue to fascinate me. (The tops of two vines had even crept underneath the siding of the house, resulting in the tangled mashes of half-alive blooms and leaves I yanked out yesterday.)
